- ProcessAdapter.run takes destroyOnExit (default true) and passes it to os.proc.call
- Forked-JVM probe tests pin the shutdown throw and prove the false case runs
- Scaladoc, docs/api/Process.md and Czech release notes describe the flag and its cost
